DETACHED PRIVATE HOUSE, 1937, Tisseltsteenweg 31, 2830 Willebroek, Belgium 🇧🇪
Architect: Jacques Ottelohé (1889-1940)
The house consists of two floors under a flat roof and has a strongly horizontally marked facade construction, consisting of yellow brick in combination with contrasting black faience tiles.
The house was built in 1937 on behalf of C. Sprimont-Rottiers, son-in-law of Adeline and Emmanuel Rottiers, the founders of the Rottiers Tile Factory in Tisselt. The interior is of great value given its authentic condition and the strong link with the Tegelfabriek. The original various tile patterns for the floors, stained glass surfaces for windows, interior doors and portholes and the streamlined wood carving for the stairs are still present.
The house needs to be restored.
