Frank Lloyd Wright’s Landmark Ennis House Sells for $18M in Los Angeles (PHOTOS)

Whether it’s the ties to late architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the historic status or the sheer excitement of being featured in a long list of products, dating back to c.1924 Ennis House it has something for everyone. Curbed reported that the landmark home sold for $18,000,000, making it the most expensive Wright-designed home ever sold in 1923. It resembles a Mayan temple and was built for Charles and Mabel Ennis in 1924. of 27,000 concrete blocks and measures about 6,000 square feet. The property was previously on the market for $15,000,000 in 2009 before being sold for $4,500,000 in 2011 to billionaire Ron Burkle who planned to continue renovating the home. After a long restoration, the Ennis House is back on the market for $23,000,000. According to Curbed LA, Burkle sunk nearly $17,000,000 into the renovation and the house was furnished. The 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home includes beautiful leaded glass windows, custom lighting, marble and hardwood floors, mosaic tile walls and stunning city views. The Ennis House it is a designated city, state, and national symbol. It was on the market for $23,000,000 with Hilton & Hyland.
