The home is located at 19 Arran Avenue, Hamilton, in Brisbane, Australia, not far from the Brisbane river.
“Malouf House” was actually commissioned by the father of David Malouf and constructed by the architect firm Pidgeon Commercial in 1947.
The unique home is built on three levels with a double brick exterior in the Art Deco style
Not only is the house filled with original Art Deco details, but the award-winning writer even left his name engraved in one of the cabinets in the home!
Renovated in 1991 and again in 2012 by architect Philip Horwood, the vintage features and modern amenities have been expertly intertwined.
